I think it's fair to say things have been tough all over but with restrictions dropping and things returning to normal there's no better time to get out and support the local creators who have had little in the way of outlets to get their products out there. The Bowerbird Markets has been an emerging presence in the last few years, showcasing a whole slew of local businesses and creators looking to display homemade and locally sourced products in a range of different areas.
2020 hasn't been the easiest for Bowerbird. Having to cancel their May market and then their November market just before it was due to occur but they've managed to pick themselves up quickly and get a shin-dig together for the 11th, 12th and 13th of December.
The Bowerbird Markets has been a welcoming home for designers to introduce great art, artisan food, craft beer, accessories, skincare, clothing, homewares and more to a wider audience. Also, with a number of craft workshops and activities available there are new skills to be learned and a way to entertain the kids. Bowerbird has developed an amazing environment that is inclusive of everyone with something to engage every demographic.
The market in December will be at the Wayville Showgrounds, Friday the 11th from 4pm to 9pm, and Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th from 10am to 5pm. Entry is $5.50 and children under 12 are free. See bowerbird.nat.au for more information.
