Anzac Bay in Bowentown, is a hidden delight on the Bay of Plenty coast. It is tucked away nestling in a corner; many would not know it is there. A beautiful safe beach for family picnics and children to frolic in the calm waters, as there is no strong surf to knock the little ones off their feet.
There is plenty of parking under the trees to have your picnic lunch and relax after a dip in the sea. If swimming is not to your liking, launch your boat for a cruise or do a spot of fishing.
If you do not own a boat, you can fish from around the rocks of Bowentown. A relaxing way to spend your day.
If you are more adventurous go for a bush walk to the top of the rise and view the marvellous coast of the Bay of Plenty, taking in Matakana Island and Mount Maunganui. Remember to take your binoculars; if you are lucky you may spot one of the many cruise ships entering the harbour during the summer months
