Are you always on the prowl for doggie events in and around Brisbane? Avid searchers like myself know that these sorts of events, the ones that cater specifically for dogs, are few and far in between - but no worries, because you've come to the right article! Fitting.U Studio, an event planning organisation, has put together a "Bow Wow Doggie Carnival", to be held next Sunday. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, dogs and puppies... mark the date in your diaries - Sunday 30th April 2017. It's not a date you'll want to forget!
The Bow Wow Doggie Carnival will be held at Calamvale Dog Park, in both the off-leash dog area and the open grassy area next to it - pooches will, of course, need to remain on a leash outside of the designated off-leash area. All are welcome, whether you have a dog or not - plus, there's free entry! The event has been organised as a charity fundraiser for RSPCA Queensland, who as the majority of you will know is the state's oldest, largest and leading animal welfare charity, dedicated to improving the lives of all domestic, farmed and native animals throughout Queensland. 99% of their annual costs are funded by donations and community support - as such, by attending a fun event like this one, you'll be doing a huge part in ensuring that the great work they're doing is financially viable.
Seeing as it's free entry, you're probably wondering how the event will raise money for RSPCA. Similar to the EKKA, Bow Wow Doggie Carnival will be hosting a number of games, with fun prizes to be won - the only catch is that you'll need to purchase "game coins" in order to play the game(s) of your choice. If you want to utilise your competitive spirit (all in the name of good fun, of course!) and partake in these games, remember to bring cash along so that you can purchase the coins. There are games for both owners and dogs to participate together as a team, in addition to games for just humans - because you don't need to have a dog to have fun at this event!
