This is a true story and that's what made it special for me. Yes, you will laugh with Britni's take on these fantastic Broadway hits and you will say 'wow' when you hear her powerful voice and incredible range but you will - if you have a soul - will cry too. Especially when she sings 'Someone to Watch Over Me' - a song that she sang with her Grandma.
Britni's singing journey starts in Bourbon Street as a four-year-old performing for her delighted stuffed toy audience. Obviously a very determined young lady, she weaves her story of making it in the musical business throughout the show.
The venue is intimate. It makes you feel as if Britni is right there, sharing her story with you. From her determined four-year-old self to the present day. The Butterfly Club is the perfect venue for this. If you've never been then it's well worth the treat. The furnishings are an eclectic mix of vintage, kitsch ornaments and walls lined with books. The bartenders will whip you up a marvellous cocktail or two which you can take into the show.
I also can not forget to mention Tim Verdon on piano. He plays the perfect accompaniment to Britni's performance. They work very well together.
