The other weekend I took my three boys to a place called Bounce Inc, which is a huge warehouse filled with trampolines, foam pits and trampoline dodge ball areas.
We went to the one in Glen Iris and the boys absolutely loved it. They bounced on all three different areas including the foam pit, the trampoline performance area and the basketball ring trampoline area.
I took the boys to Bounce Inc as a reward for getting their vaccinations done during the week. The boys had no idea how cool Bounce Inc was, they just thought it was a few trampolines in a big room.
My other two loved running and bouncing into the foam pit. It's just a huge pile of foam pieces. They looked like they were having loads of fun.
The staff at Bounce Inc. were really friendly, and helpful. They also reacted very fast to kids safety and no trampoline area was left unattended.
There is a watching view from up top where parents can sit down, watch their children and have something to eat from the cafe.
The bouncing prices are quite reasonable and you can purchase different deals. Children who are under 110 centimetres are charged less than taller children.
At Bounce Inc. you pay by the hour, so if your children want to jump for two hours, then that's how much you pay. Once your time is up the children must leave the trampoline area, unless you decide to pay for an additional hour.
The first hour costs the most, then I believe it is $10 for each additional hour your children stay on the trampolines.
There will be a Bounce Inc. centre opening up in Cheltenham soon as well.
I would recommend dressing your kids in shorts or light pants and a t-shirt as they can get very sweaty and hot jumping around for all that time. My boys all wore plain black shorts and a colourful top so I could find them easily among all the other children.
There are lots of tasty things to eat in the cafe such as chips, cookies, lollies, and healthy sandwiches.
You can also book your child's birthday at Bounce, however it is quite expensive.
