The just-opened Bouchon Bakery in Rockefeller Center is a Francophile must-go-to destination. This is well-known Chef Thomas Keller's second Manhattan location; the other is located at the Time Warner Center. Keller's out-of-this-world desserts and decadent, hand-crafted chocolates will make you believe, if only for a split second, that you're in a Paris boulangerie.

When all of that fabulous shopping on Fifth Avenue has made you hungry, stop by Keller's signature Bouchon for a bite to eat. Upon crossing the threshold, don't get too sidetracked admiring the hand-painted murals adorning the walls. Peruse the French fare menu for a wide selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, Quiche Florentine, delicate croissants, and brioche.

You'll find tempting macarons filled with butter cream, lemon tarts for citrus lovers, and chocolate tarts for chocoholics. Pastries, muffins, mousses and confections are simply irresistible. Be sure to take a box of carefully selected goodies home with you along with a classic epi baguette or an herb-roasted loaf.

Don't forget your beloved four-legged family member patiently waiting for his delicious dog treats; they're enriched with foie gras, chicken stock, and diced bacon.

Catering, special orders, such as wedding favors and holiday offerings are just some of the enticements, which will make you a Bouchon devotee.
