Situated conveniently in the centre of Chadstone Shopping Centre's high end corridor, and surrounded by the likes of Alannah Hill, Zimmerman and Jack London, Bouchee Cafe is the perfect pit stop to refuel during a tiring day of shopping. With rows of white tables and striped cushions set under a wide canopy, you could be excused for mistaking it for a lively street cafe in France, teeming with dozens of satisfied shoppers. The staff are friendly and efficient and the cafe's vibe is energetic; The ideal place to unwind and dine, and rest up before the next leg of shopping.
Named after the French word for 'mouthful', Bouchee certainly delivers. After plenty of return visits, the signature Bouchee burger has become a favourite of mine and the ever-changing daily specials complement an already varied menu. Gluten free and vegetarian options are also available and the all day breakfast menu until 4pm makes Bouchee an ideal destination for all kinds of foodies. The classic Salmon Benedict is particularly delicious, light on the palate with a perfectly balanced hollandaise sauce and layers of fresh smoked salmon.
A cafe is never quite French without an array of mouth-watering cakes and desserts and Bouchee has plenty on offer. For chocolate lovers like me, the petite black forest cake is a sure winner; rich, sweet and completely indulgent. Make sure to order it with both cream and ice cream- there's no reason to skimp on the calories with a cake this delicious! The lemon tart is equally as good, and there's a variety of gluten-free cakes on offer as well.
After four visits to Bouchee Cafe, I'm certainly a fan. Make sure to include it in your next Chadstone shopping itinerary; You won't regret it!
