Celebrate Daffodils, Princesses and Pirates in the Gardens
Buy a Daffodil - Grow Hope for Cancer
Join Queensland Cancer Council, buy a bunch of daffodils for Daffodil Day on August 24th, and have some fun at Mt Cootha Botanic Gardens Family Fun Day. Botanical Cafe will be hosting a Family Fun Day with entertainment and activities scheduled for the children throughout the day.
The theme is Pirates and Princesses, so take the opportunity to dress up and get ready for lots of daffodil inspired fun. Botanical Cafe is part of Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens, with a great location overlooking the lake and a short walk away from the Japanese garden, hothouse, and cactus garden.
Spot curious sculptures along the Hide 'n Seek Children's Trail
While you're there, take some time to wander through the botanic gardens - kids will love following the Hide 'n' Seek Children's Trail through the rainforest. There are 17 activity stations teaching children about the wonders of our native environment in fun nature based play.
