Gold Coast gardeners get ready! The Coast's autumn gardening spectacular, Botanical Bazaar, Gardening and Sustainability Festival is set to bloom across South East Queensland from 3 to 4 August 2024 at Country Paradise Parklands.
The
Festival , which is organised by Gold Coast Rotary, sees the parklands transform into a gardener's wonderland capturing the best of plants, growing and sustainability tips. With so much information to share from composting to keeping chickens, creating habitat gardens to beekeeping, bushfood to food preservation and survival skills, there is something for everyone interested in living sustainably.
In particular, the festival features:
Guest speakers including Sophie Thompson from ABC's premier gardening show, Gardening Australia along with horticulturalists and sustainability expert Claire Bickle
Eco and Artisan exhibitors such as Metal Garden Art, Medicinal Botanix, Gold Coast District Orchid Society
Over 30 workshops and demonstrations
Kids Hub
Live entertainment
Food Trucks
the chance to join experts, like Sophie, on a series of garden walks around edible gardens and community gardens
There will be thousands of plants in the eco markets to get you started or continue on your own garden.
In the interests of sustainability, this is a plastic-free event and visitors are encouraged to bring their own water bottles, carry bags and coffee cups to help protect the planet.
