I love the way towns and cities are now combining art and history to create visual aspects to our heritage, instead of having to research through libraries and books. This way the artwork creates an optical memory in the conscious and if an interest arises to learn more, then the inspiration comes to delve further.

The
Museum of Brisbane is producing the event where they have carefully selected each artwork to reflect the history of Brisbane while creating an experience that melds art, science, technology and nature into one, yet still exploring contemporary themes such as sustainability and innovation.
On Friday and Saturday evenings throughout Botanica, there will be delicious food trucks and an outdoor bar, so bring your friends and family along to enjoy the night.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said that the Council was delighted to bring this exhibition to life in the beautiful surrounds of the
City Botanic Gardens while offering a multi-sensory experience suitable for the whole family.
