The Boroondara Farmers Market is the perfect place to purchase delicious, fresh produce regularly. This bimonthly market is held on the third and fifth Saturday of the month, from 8am to 1pm at Patterson Reserve, Auburn Road, Hawthorn East (Melway 59 E4).
An initiative of the City of Boroondara, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Glenferrie, the Boroondara Farmers Market is organised and maintained by a dedicated group of farmers and locals who aim to reduce food miles and support small Victorian primary producers.
The farmers market offers locals a diverse range of produce from all around Victoria, including fresh fruit and vegetables, seasonal organic produce, meat, herbs, honey, eggs, bread, olives, cakes, dips and sauces, and even wine and beer.
Accredited with the Victorian Farmers Market Association (VFMA), the Boroondara Farmers Market also encourages the local community to engage with the participating producers to learn more about the ingredients and products they and their families are consuming.
Entry is priced at $2 per person and all money raised assists with community projects run by Rotary of Glenferrie and Foundation Boroondara.
