Ideally located near Blackburn train station along Railway road is the newly opened . When my parents invited me to try out the new pizzeria near their house I was a little disappointed something more exciting hadn't opened up that we could try. By the end of the night, however, I was anything but disappointed.

The menu is quite extensive with some old favourites like capricciosa and calabrese mixed in with some newer inventions like the trentino, containing speck, pork fennel sausage, cherry tomato and rapini sauteed in garlic all covered with delicious melted cheese. This is the pizza I had and it was divine, the crust was light and fluffy and neither hard nor soggy. The rapini sauteed in garlic gave the whole pizza a wonderful flavour and I, normally a slow eater, was the first to finish. My mum had a gorgonzola, pear and walnut pizza that she also enjoyed immensely. My dad had the seafood linguini which he liked a lot, but felt had perhaps almost a little too much chilli. My little nephew had his first pizza here too and obviously he thought it was good, too, seeing as he managed to get most of it in his mouth, instead of everywhere else.

For dessert I had yet another pizza, this time with white chocolate and strawberries at the recommendation of our waiter. I was not disappointed; it was everything I had hoped it would be. My sister had the tiramisu, which she liked. That's not saying much though, I don't think she has had a tiramisu she has not enjoyed devouring. My dad had the dessert pizza special of white chocolate with almonds, walnuts and pistachios. He said it was excellent but it can't have been as good as mine.

In terms of service our waiter was very friendly and seemed to be quite knowledgeable of the menu which is lucky because half the menu is either in Italian or has ingredients I've never heard of. He did slip up once though, bringing my mum a latte instead of a cappuccino, but I think we'll forgive him this one oversight.

All in all I was very satisfied with my meal and the service at Bordello and would happily recommend this to any family, couple or group of friends who are looking for a relaxed evening with delicious pizzas.
