Boot camps are becoming more popular as a way of getting in shape fast. If you are unfamiliar with what a boot camp is, it's basically a mini version of the exercise and fitness programs that are offered in armed services boot camps. The workouts are intense, and you will have a leader that knows a lot of tricks to keep you motivated throughout the camp. The result is better health and overall fitness.
There are several boot camps in New York City to choose from. Each offers its own unique program, so you should have no problem finding one that's right for you. Always remember to consult your health care practitioner before beginning any exercise program.
New York City Adventure Boot Camp
Choose your fitness level and sign up for a four-week boot camp that will accommodate you. Classes are held one hour a day for four weeks, and while this may not sound like a lot, remember that everything will be "ramped up"; in other words, you're going to do a lot of exercising in that one hour. And, because it goes for four weeks, it's really going to add up.
Classes are held at three different times during the day so you can find one that fits your schedule. The price is reasonable, too, which makes New York City Adventure Boot Camp very popular, so sign up today.
Warrior Fitness Boot Camp
If you want an exercise boot came experience that is truly unique, this is the one for you. At Warrior Fitness Boot Camp you train with instructors who are or were Marines, and the course is patterned very closely after the actual Marine Corps boot camp. Part of your fitness training means running a real obstacle course. If this sounds intimidating, just remember that after your complete New York City Adventure Boot Camp, you'll be ready to run that course.
Stacy's Boot Camp
If you enjoy working out outside, and you want to get back to the basics, this is the boot camp for you. Spurred on by your instructor as well as the motivation the other group members offer you, you'll find yourself getting physically fit in no time, without using fancy machines or lifting weights. One of the programs at Stacy's Boot Camp combines boot camp exercises with yoga movements, so you get the best of both worlds. If you enjoy yoga, this is the class for you.
Pure Power Boot Camp
This is another boot camp that uses Marine Corps boot camp techniques, right down to placing "recruits" in "platoons". Which "platoon" you'll be in depends on your fitness level. You'll be evenly matched with 16 other people at your same fitness level, however, so each you can give the other the encouragement you'll need to make it through this very realistic boot camp experience.
