Fun for all
You don't have to wait until August to get your fix of showbags, rides and dagwood dogs. The Boonah Show is just one hour from Brisbane. Running between 28 and 29 May, this show is not to be missed. With fireworks, woodchopping, horses, cattle, and a demolition derby, there really is something for everyone.
Don't miss the animals whether it's cattle, horses or poultry. There are a number of events including Prime Cattle judging, Prime Cattle auction and Stud Cattle "Battle of the Sexes". The program is available on the Boonah Show Society's webpage.
There are also plenty of competitions such as the Battered Hat competition, Celebrity Chef competition and the Pet Parade.
The night show program is only available on the Saturday night and consists of harness racing, fireworks ute muster and a demolition derby.
Free parking is available on the soccer field. Entry is via Elizabeth Terrace, behind the squash courts. There is direct gate access to showgrounds.
