The Boom Boom Room (Comedy Night) @ The Hideaway

Liven up your Wednesday night with some comedy at The Boom Boom Room, located at The Hideaway in the Valley.

On Wednesday 8 August, The Hideaway will host the official opening of The Boom Boom Room, where you can enjoy a few drinks and see a number of comedians perform. I was lucky enough to head along to the preview night and I was very impressed. After taking up a cosy booth for my group, and getting a glass of red wine, I was treated to five great comedy sets, skillfully interspaced by the comedic stylings of Greg and Henry as Masters of Comedic Ceremonies, and Melinda Buttle was the headline act on the night. For the opening night, Becky Lucas, Mitch McCutcheon, James Tinneswood and Corey White will support the headline act Damien Power.

Although there's an 8pm start time, it's highly recommended to get in a little early to secure your preferred vantage point. As with any comedy show, if you're considering catching up with a friend, while enjoying some comedy, take up a seat down the back, so you don't upset other patrons, or attract the attention of the Comedian on the stage.

The Boom Boom Room is hosted at The Hideaway, 188 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley (just off St Paul's Terrace) and will be held every Wednesday night from 8pm. Get along and have some laughs.
