It should be noted, and I'm sure it's been made abundantly clear, that I am a big
Cafe Checocho fan. The understated West End cafe is a refuge for poets, musicians and coffee lovers alike and has collected quite a fanbase over the years.
Now, there is yet another reason to adore the Hardgrave Road hideaway. Introducing... the band of travelling bohemians and all the glorious produts they bring with them.
From 10.00am until 10.00pm, Friday 16 to Monday 16 December, Cafe Checocho will be hosting the sale of books, records, art, music and paintings. Books will range from less than $1.00 all the way up to high quality items, and all the categories you could possibly want are covered.
There will be a selection of rare 12" and 7" vinyl records, contemporary surreal prints and original as well as live displays of collaborative painting, drawing and music making.
The group do mini-tours around Australia as well as the summer festival season, so if you miss this one there will always be plenty of other opportunities.
They would like to remind everyone to come dressed in costume to receive discounts on purchases. Remember, "the greater the grandity, the more delectable the discount!"
