Children's stories brought to life by their creators

Ten local creators of children's books personally read their stories at the State Library of Western Australia on Saturday, 16 January 2016 from 10.30am to 4.00pm. Also, experience an Illustrators Duel at 12.30pm to rival anything in Star Wars. Illustrators battle it out as they draw their responses to a series of wacky prompts; heaps of fun for audience and participants alike.

Just imagine the stories jumping from the pages of your children's favourite book, as read by their creators. Embrace the excitement as the kids meet their favourite author or illustrator. Suitable for ages two to twelve and those who remember the joy of bedtime stories.

The faces

This event gives people a chance to put faces to the names they have seen on the covers of their books, to learn how they make books, and get a favourite book signed by the creator.

You will be surprised and amazed to see how many children's authors and illustrators are living and working in Perth and Western Australia.
