Grab your favourite book and head out bright and early to the City of Perth Library, 573 Hay St, Perth on Thursday 20 September 2018 from 7.15-8.15am, to sit with author and storyteller extraordinaire Glenn Swift. This is a free event, however you need to register!

Celebrating Australian Reading Hour, you'll be part of a short video to encourage reading for future generations. Get involved and grab some breakfast at the library with like-minded others. Australian Reading Hour is all about stopping what you're doing for an hour, to pick up a book and either rediscover or introduce yourself to the benefits of reading. Take the time to learn, grow, escape and relax. Reading has been shown to reduce stress by 68% more than listening to music, going for a walk or having a cup of tea, so what's not to like. What a great example for the children as well, so they too can reap the same rewards. For more interesting events like this, check the website.
