With bookshops getting scarcer all around the world when there is a book sale, we bookworms come out to play, so to speak! I find book sales exciting, as many a time, I have discovered some real treasures at this type of event. My books are housed in two large bookcases and are treasures that I really treasure!

One of Melbourne's most popular book markets is coming to the Convent. Now there is going to be a book market which also includes the following:
Melbourne Book Market, where you can buy books, film and music plus heaps more
Melbourne Vintage Market, where you can buy clothes and bric a brac and also much more
Why not join Melbourne's bibliophiles and choose from more than 5,000 new and used titles. This was the well known and popular weekly Fed Square book market which closed in 2017. This closure was, however only temporary, with the market now reopening at Abbotsford Convent in 2018.
The market has a huge selection of new and second-hand titles to browse from. From science fiction right through to non-fiction, the Melbourne Book Market has so many genres that it will be a book lovers delight!

Books will be selected by 15 of Melbourne's most experienced book dealers as well as authors and illustrators. This will be the perfect place to find something for all those book lovers. There will also be some quality second-hand vinyl records and CDs from a variety of stallholders.
At most of their book markets, Melbourne Book Market have a guest author and also book signings - this one is yet to be announced.
The Melbourne Book Market will be held on Saturday 25th August, 2018, from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. These times will give you heaps of time to browse and fossick through all the books in this sale!
It will be held at Salon and Mural Hall, Convent Building, Abbotsford Convent, 1 St Heliers Street, Abbotsford. It is free entry and there is street parking there. There will be signage directing you to the correct place on arrival.
