Who doesn't love a book sale
Wakefield Press are celebrating Spring, and will be holding a huge book sale on Saturday 31 October from 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday 1 November from 10 am to 4 pm.

The location is 16 Rose Street Mile End.

The sale will include many titles with a wide range of topics. These are all brand new books, and will make wonderful Christmas gifts. The sale will be three books for the price of two, on the entire range of the current book list.

On the book sale day there will be some special activities and launches. To celebrate the soon to be released book, " A Calendar of Cakes" by the South Australian CWA, a cake sale featuring some of the cakes in this beautiful book will be for sale. Other activities are planned for the day, including a wall colouring activity for the kids.

This publishing house is an independent South Australian one, who release around 50 new titles per year. They have writers form everywhere, but do have a focus on many South Australian authors, who write both fiction and non- fiction. Much of the work in the non- fiction category is on Australian topics including history, destinations, and Australian lifestyle and culture. These would make welcome gifts to overseas friends. They also publish e-books. The company also is a distributor for some overseas publishing houses, so the book titles cover a wide range.

The website has a list of books that are currently available on the an online book shop. Viewing this can give you an idea of some of the titles on offer at the sale day.The events page has a very well informed list of all things literary in Adelaide. Writers talks and seminars, writers festival and conferences are listed, so if you want to locate some interesting talks then check it out.
