Sheila - A Book Launch with Pamela Morrison
Join author Pamela Morrison for a book launch Sheila on Sunday, 2 July 2023, starting from 1 pm to 3 pm at Civic Centre Library, Playford Boulevard, Elizabeth.

Sheila is a story based on a real person, who against the odds since baby. Merely surviving her brutal circumstances would never be enough for her, instead, she developed the incredible courage and tenacity required to overcome the horrors she suffered. Please note that this book contains themes of childhood abuse and sexual assault, however, it is also a story about overcoming the odds, resilience and of courage.

The Wonder of Little Things - Conversation with Kara McEwen and Lea McInerney
In this author talk, co-author Lea McInernery and Vince's daughter Kara McEwen will share Vince Copley's story of finding kindness in the midst of prejudice, and joy in living life to the full.

Vince was born on a government mission, in poverty in 1936, and lost five family members by the time he was fifteen. He faced extreme hardship but managed to always find light in the darkness. He dedicated his life to helping make life better for his people, with his 'brother' from the boys' home, Charlie Perkins.

This author's talk will be held at Two Wells Bowling Club, Old Port Wakefield Road, Two Wells, on Tuesday, 4 July 2023, starting from 1 pm to 2.30 pm. Please book here to attend this event. Meet author Pip Williams at Marion Cultural Centre - Domain Theatre, 287 Diagonal Road, Oaklands, on Tuesday, 11 July 2023, starting from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm, to discuss her latest book, The Bookbinder of Jericho.

The Bookbinder of Jericho is about WWI in 1914 that draws the young men of Britain away to fight. It is the women who must keep the nation running. Two of those women are Peggy and Maude, twin sisters who work in the bindery at Oxford University Press in Jericho. Peggy is ambitious and dreams of studying at Oxford University. Maude wants nothing more than what she has. This is a story about knowledge – who gets to make it, who gets to access it, and what is lost when it is withheld.

Join her at Ngutungka West Lakes, 9 Charles Street, West Lakes, on Sunday, 30 July 2023, starting at 11 am to 12 pm, to discuss her writing journey so far, and her second published novel, Black Lies. As well as writing books, Mercedes is an Adelaide local who works in the criminal justice system.
