Tips to Get that First Book Published for Teens by Christine Sinclair
A book has finally arrived with a simple step-by-step guide on how to publish your own words into a book for yourself, your family or the world. This book is created by Christine Sinclair, (pen name Grandmother Christine) for Create a Book Challenge, and for budding teen authors out there.

Five free books can be won by some lucky ticket holders during the launch. Books can be purchased and signed on the day for $10 (a selection of other titles will also be on sale on the day - prices vary). Please book here to attend this FREE community event on Sunday, 2 July 2023, starting from 1 pm to 3 pm, at Woodcroft Library, 175 Bains Road, Morphett Vale. Refreshments will be provided.



Out of This World by Sonya Spreen Bates - Book Launch
Out of This World is about a girl named Hali Greengard. She thinks she's a freak. She's a twin from Hexa, a planet where twins are always Daka together. Except for her. She is Luma. This fast-paced intergalactic adventure is a story of family, friendship, and discovering who you really are that written by Sonya Spreen Bates, a Canadian writer. Sonya has made South Australia her home since 1997. She writes for adults and children.

The Mad Cappers' Tea Party by Sally Heinrich – Author Talk
Sally Heinrich is an award-winning illustrator and author of more than 40 books and exhibited widely in Australia and Asia. On Wednesday, 12 July 2023, starting from 10.30 am to 11.30 am, at the State Library of South Australia, Institute Room - Institute Building, North Terrace Adelaide, Sally will read and talk about her most recent picture book, The Mad Cappers' Tea Party. She will then lead you in an illustration workshop to imagine and plan your dream Tea Party and design the most beautiful, practical or simply silly hat that you can imagine wearing.

Warning: may make you hungry - you might have to plan for morning tea afterwards! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please register here the number of children attending.


Fluffy by David Wotton - Book Launch
Having been involved in environmental matters for a very long time, former Member of Parliament David Wotton had always wanted to write a book that he hopes will awaken in children the importance of water for our planet Earth.

Join David Wotton on Sunday, 16 July 2023, starting from 2 pm to 3 pm at Coventry Library Stirling, 63 Mount Barker Road, Stirling, and find out more about a little English white cloud called Fluffy who learns a lot on his travel adventures to some countries across the globe. As Fluffy grows up into a big black cloud he discovers his true destiny and assists in breaking the drought in Australia. Book here to attend this event.



One Little Duck by Katrina Germein and Danny Snell - Storytime Launch
Come to Unley Town Hall, Oxford Terrace, Unley, on Tuesday, 18 July 2023, starting from 10.30 am to 11.30 am and hear the story, and see how the book illustrations began. Join in with a quacky craft, songs, and dancing. This event is suitable for children aged 2 years old and up. Bookings are essential and can be made here or via telephone number (08) 8372 5100.
