Pick up a ‘Hat Trick’ at Book Bazaar
You do not need to be a test cricketer to pick up a 'hat trick'. Just make a purchase during August, leave your details and check out the Extended Hours Sale. With these three simple steps, you could catch a $50.00 Book Bazaar Voucher.

This is a massive bookshop with over 100,000 books on display at any one time. While the sections are clearly marked, hidden treasures lie between the labels. The casual, avid reader or a serious collector is bound to find something with their name on it. Whether it is to fill a bag of books, search out that rare, collectable or elusive out of print edition.

1) Win a $50.00 voucher

Make a purchase during August before the Extended Hours Sale and place your business card (or hand written equivalent) in the area provided. The Saturday of the sale at 12:00pm, a card is drawn and the owner wins a $50 voucher to spend in the Book Bazaar at any time. While the winner does not have to be present at the draw, make it a 'hat trick' and be there to catch the specials.

You do not need to imagine the choice available

Pallets of books from the State Library at Book Bazaar
Thousands of books waiting to placed in the Book Bazaar

The State Library's operations fall into three main areas – collecting and preserving Western Australia's documentary heritage, general reference and public lending library services, and supporting the public library network in Western Australia.

After visiting your local or State Library, have you ever wished you could keep a book forever? With several thousand books donated by the State Library of Western Australia each week, there is a very good chance you can at Book Bazaar.

Just imagine the diversity of good quality and unique books that a bookshop bound by commercial considerations would find hard to match. Simply because you never know what you may find, perfect for the eclectic reader. Yes, you will even find a dictionary or two.

Friendly volunteers to assist you

Volunteers who assist the Book Bazaar Supervisor, Elke Schaumann staff the sales. There is a double bonus, as you find the book (or books) of your choice, you assist disabled persons.

For your convenience

The urge to flip through the sheer number of books, in anticipation of what may turn up can become addictive, so free parking and public toilets are an added bonus.

Look out for the banners

When you get to 10 Selby Street, Shenton Park, turn off into a little (privately owned, by Spine & Limb Foundation) road called Ellis Griffiths Avenue. The ParaQuad building is about 300m along Ellis Griffiths Avenue.

Large banners placed out on Selby Street for a week before the event ensure even the casual driver will not miss the turn off.
