Winter is the perfect time to take advantage of Book Bazaar's extensive stock, during their 'Everything at Half Price including Collectables Sale'. Friday, July 21 from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday, July 22 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Not to mention open on Sunday, July 23 from 9:30am to 12:30pm, during the Scroungers Garage Sale.
This massive book sale resolves the eternal conflict of browsing and buying, with everything at half price, there is no reason to leave empty handed.
Have you ever wished that you could give a favourite library book a forever home? Now is your chance, with a choice of over 100,000 books on display in this unique bookshop, refreshed each week with a donation of several thousand books by the State Library of Western Australia. Profit from the vast bonanza of excellent quality, and diverse books from Book Bazaar, something many bookshops bound by commercial considerations would find hard to cover.
This is a rare opportunity for the discerning browser to choose from many, valuable books, and otherwise ordinary books, which are old, maybe, printed 50 to 100 years ago. Many books you might not normally find elsewhere, let alone at half the marked price.
Held in air-conditioned comfort (just right for these cold days) with toilet and bathroom facilities available. The café on site will be open until 3.00pm on Friday, and Sunday until 12.30pm, where you can regain your strength in readiness for another round of browsing.
Ample FREE parking (please follow signs), with all facilities wheelchair friendly, ensures easy and hassle-free access. No city street parking or meters to worry about, so feel free to browse as long as you like.
There is one catch
You can browse as long as you wish, but if you spot that treasure, grab it with both hands. There are no rain checks or sourcing an extra copy from the supplier, from this distinctive bookshop.
Help is at hand
Friendly volunteers are available to guide you. With such a large collection of books it can get confusing, I find that someone to point the way is an absolute necessity. If you have thought of becoming a volunteer, drop an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 9381 0193.
Arriving at 10 Selby Street, Shenton Park, turn off into a little (privately owned, by Spine & Limb Foundation) road called Ellis Griffiths Avenue. The ParaQuad building is about 300m along Ellis Griffiths Avenue. Large banners placed out on Selby Street ensure even the casual driver will not miss the turn off. Then follow the signs for a perfect parking spot.
