is one of the largest parks in the city, but while it is packed to the brim with great features, it unfortunately is a little bit of a let down. There is plenty of space for the kids to run around, and stuff to keep adults entertained too, but something about this park just doesn't sit right. Regardless it is still a good park to visit and has some good family facilities.

One of the key features of is the large pond. There is no swimming allowed, but that doesn't mean you can't find fun here. There are plenty of ducks that kids will like to watch and feed, but the model boats are probably the best aspect of the pond. You'll have to bring your own along, or you can just watch other people showing off theirs. From 7.30am-1pm on the weekend non-powered model boats take to the water, and after 1pm till sunset it is time for the powered model boats. Model boating can be a fun and relaxing hobby whether you're watching or boating yourself.

There is also plenty of grass at , which means there is lots of room for running around or playing ball games. Unfortunately the grass is not very well maintained, so it doesn't make it the nicest place to walk around. You've got plenty of space for playing a game of soccer and footy, and the kids will be able to get rid of all of their excess energy. There is even a hill that kids can roll down, just make sure they're not rolling in the direction of the pond.

Kids will also love the playgrounds at the park, there are two for them to choose from. Both of these are great for both older and younger kids. There are climbing frames, multiple slides, monkey bars, and swings. There is room for many children to all use the equipment at the same time. The playground is probably the best part of the park, but even this seems a little bit tired.

All of your other essential park facilities can be found here. There are barbecues, picnic tables, public toilets, and drinking fountains. But the park still feels like it has seen better days. Overall is a reasonable spot with lots of space, but you just can't help but feel with a little love and care this would be a truly fantastic park.
