Save the dates as the Japanese art form of bonsai is upon us. They're more than just small trees that mimic the shape and scale of a full-size tree; it can be a relaxing and challenging hobby for the enthusiast. Hosted by the Waverley Bonsai Group head to the Bonsai Show on the 10th and 11th August from 10am-4.30pm on the Saturday and 10am-4pm on the Sunday at Mt Waverley Community Centre, 47 Miller Cres, Mt Waverley.

Admission to gaze upon these intriguing creations and more will cost you $5 for adults and children under 16yrs of age go FREE. It's going to be a weekend of Ikebana, Bonsai, excellent display of mature Bonsai, continuous demonstrations, workshops, and a well-stocked trading area of books, pots, trees, tools, wire, advanced stock, semi-trained and fully-trained Bonsai trees.

Come along and meet and talk with top Bonsai Exponents. If you think this is something you'd like to try your hand at, why not join the Group and become a member. Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at St John's Uniting Church at Mount Waverley.

Workshops and demonstrations will be presented by renowned Bonsai Artist Tony Bebb. He's been a passionate Bonsai artist for most of his life and for him, the only thing stronger than his thirst for knowledge and practice is his passion for sharing and educating.
