Looking for a relaxing morning or lunch out surrounded by beautiful plants, somewhere you can have a coffee, meet up with friends or bring the family? Or are you looking to find some great plants and tips for gardening? located out in Western Sydney is a wonderful gem to come and visit.

As you enter you will find an array of things to get lost in and explore. Inside there is a cafe, lifestyle showroom, florist and an abundance of plants.

You don't have to be an avid gardener or be the next Graham Ross to want to pick up some bulbs and soil to begin planting seeds for summer. You may be looking for a new hobby to try or just some plants to freshen up your garden and is a great pit stop for getting some inspiration or tips from their garden experts.

If you are in for some serious landscaping and ready for a makeover like those demonstrations you see on television from Better Homes and Gardens or on The Block, you will not be disappointed, the centre boasts an extensive selection of soil, plants, pot plants, water tanks, accessories and home décor. Better yet, The Garden Centre is conveniently located near the local Bunnings Warehouse in Bonnyrigg, so you can make a fun-filled day out of this trip, getting everything you need in one day.

Within the centre itself, you will encounter a gem within a gem as you step inside the garden oasis and find yourself walking into The Lifestyle Centre, a large showroom of home décor and homewares. The Lifestyle Centre is filled with beautiful furnishings and living displays. Take some visual notes on the way their stylists have paired certain colours with different textures to create some editorial inspired looks, or speak to their wonderful staff for some free professional advice.

I found myself gravitating towards the fuchsia and brass display for my next bedroom makeover. Add in some wonderful pots of lilies found from the Garden Centre and my bedroom is complete.

You will come across all sorts of goodies in this store, from Christmas gifts, candles, crystals, and cards to clearance items. You can find yourself grabbing a bargain such as the cutlery set which were almost 50% off the original price.

Though before you get lost amidst all the wonderful flowers, plants and landscaping tools you might want to have a coffee or a meal at the garden centre's Harvest Café.

Their breakfast menu is filled with your breakfast classics from Croissant with Smoked Salmon or Pancakes with Bacon to Roast Field Mushrooms served on Sourdough Toast with Goats Cheese and a Hazelnut pesto, to the trendy and healthy Acai bowl filled with vitamins and antioxidants.

My soy cappuccino and acai bowl were perfect to start my day off with, particularly with Sydney's nice warm temperatures.

Plus, if you are bringing the kids, they have a great selection of kid-friendly options too, such as Handmade Fruit Loaf, House made Bircher Muesli with Yoghurt or a Croissant with Jam or Nutella. But, if you are coming later or prefer to have lunch, their lunch menu is also filled with a wide selection of goodies, from Classic Sandwiches for a light refreshment to more filling meals such as their Club Sandwich Double Decker Sandwich filled with chicken, pancetta, mayo and fries! But, don't spend all your time at the café, there is too much to explore at this wonderful garden centre.

The centre is sectioned off in different zones depending what it is you are looking for from big shrubs to young trees. You may find yourself after some lucky bamboo, cacti, bonsais, fruit trees, or like myself you may be after your own DIY terrarium kit.

There is much to see and gain from this outing to , and you may find yourself with a new hobby or even a new sanctuary to come on your own or to catch up with friends.

Though last but not least, the Garden Centre also has a beautiful glass house that you can hire for your next kitchen tea, birthday dinner or business meeting. It is positioned in the midst of the Garden Centre surrounded by the beautiful trees and flowers, plus sounds of birds chirping and water dropping from the fountains nearby. Its striking glass façade is hard to miss. You'll soon be daydreaming about the possibilities of using the space for your next event.

I'll be back to the centre soon to stock up on soil and succulents for my terrarium. Plus, another coffee by the balcony with the sweet fragrances of roses and jasmine doesn't hurt.

The centre is open 7 days a week from 7:30am – 5:00pm and you can find them on www.bonnyrigggardencentre.com.au or on Facebook.
