Perth's Only French Festival - Bring your French Bulldog
This festival is back again this year and is presented by See Subiaco. This is Perth's only French festival and whether you have French background or not, this is always an exciting event.

LiveLighter Bonjour Perth has new activities this year and invites you to join them in a day of French culture in the Market Square Park, where there will be 80 plus stalls.

Visitors can experience the following:
Stalls with clothing
Stalls with giftware
Fashion show

You can watch a video of last year's Festival to get some idea of what is in store, though this year, it will be better than last!

All this will occur in the new themed "villages" that represent different regions from the French-speaking world. There will be "A Taste of Our French World", the inaugural gastronomic discovery trail, that will take you on a surprising tasting journey.

Also, new this year is the chance to experiment with flavours from countries you have travelled to, or are dreaming to visit!

Children can use their imagination at the free craft workshops, chase clues for the treasure hunt, use up energy on the bouncy castles, try fencing or learn circus skills, and all this while parents are able to relax in the Wellness Area.

Other things for parents include:
Browse vintage and new models at the French car display
Enjoy the Festival with family and friends
Roving acts
Creole Village
Photo booth

Developed in collaboration with the WA Museum and keeping with the French theme, Perth French Theatre will perform snippets of the story of Rose De Freycinet, a French woman who, over 200 years ago, explored the Australian coast with her husband, Louis- Claude de Freycinet.

There is a special competition which will run from 9th October to the 15th October 2017 and you can find out more about this here. You can also go into the draw to win great prizes!

The local charity partner for 2017 is 12Buckets and there will be a major raffle to help them raise funds (tickets available online and on the day). 12Buckets is a charity that supports local Perth children, identified by their school as being at-risk or disadvantaged. They strive to equip at-risk and disadvantaged students with the skills, support and connections needed to build a strong future.

They celebrate the development of independent young people contributing to their community through honed skills and generosity. You can find out more about 12buckets here and check out their amazing raffle with prize money of $5000!

And as a special bonus to animal lovers, you can to register your French bulldog in the new parade, or you can try the Parisian Waiters' Race for a laugh and lots of pride as you take home the winning prizes!

Bring your Frenchie(s) along and let him/her walk on the red carpet for a moment of glory - prizes for the best dressed, best attitude, and registration is free.

While over in the "Urban Village," there will be crowds counting down the end of the day as the Eiffel Tower bursts into light. Then just before the day concludes, there will be an energetic set from Grace Barbé Afro Kreol (Seychelles).
