To go into the draw, all you have to do is send an email titled 'Bondi Winter Magic' to and let us know in 25 words or less why you want to win a double pass. Please include your mailing address.

Have you ever been Ice Skating?

If you have and you would like to do it in Sydney, you should get yourself along to the Winter Wonderland at Bondi Beach.

Bondi Beach is embracing the cooler season and its iconic beach front will be transformed next month into a spectacular winter wonderland. The Bondi Pavilion will undergo a dramatic transformation in the weeks ahead as it becomes a winter-lover's paradise with Australia's only beach side ice rink. Tickets are on sale now and the ice rink runs 20 June to 12 July 2015, so get your skates on and start booking for this unique, visually spectacular winter ocean experience.

The Bondi Ice Rink is Australia's only beachside ice rink and with dimensions 30x35m the rink provides ample room for beginners and experienced skaters alike. Bondi is a magical place in winter the large crowds have returned home and the warm winter sun sparkles across the bay.

There are many hidden treasures to discover in Bondi during winter including: cosy cafes, music in the streets, festivals, surfing, skate boarding rink, shopping, lawn bowls, gold, art, plus much more. The ice rink opens from 20 June to 12 July, between 10am to 9pm each day. Skating sessions start on the hour and each skating session is 45 mins. Skating Lessons Monday to Friday at 9am-10am (arrive by 8.45am)

Maybe you have never been Ice Skating and would like to learn how to do it. You too should get yourself along to the Winter Wonderland at Bondi Beach and have ago at ice skating.

Adult (14 years and over) $35
You will need to arrive half an hour before your booked skating time to allow time for fitting skates. Each skating session is 45 mins.

Benefits: Exclusive hire of the ice rink for private groups of up to 150 people.

Availability: 18 & 19 June

Cost: $3000 per hour, including ice skates


Benefits: A designated activation area (3x3m) around the ice rink allocated for sampling and promotions purposes.

Availability: 20 June to 12 July, seven days per week, from 9am to 9pm each day.

Cost: Mondays to Thursdays $350 per hour & Fridays to Sundays $450 per hour.


Bondi Beach is very well serviced by public transport with buses that will get you right down to the beach. Bondi Junction is the closest train station to Bondi Beach. This is the place where buses and trains link together. From the train station you will need to take a bus down to the beach.

If you're travelling between Bondi Junction and Bondi Beach the buses you want are the 333, 380 or 381. You will need to stand at Stand A3 for the 333 and A1 for 380, 381 and 382.

Do yourself a favour and buy a travel ten pass. Many buses in the area do not take cash and you need to use a travel pass. You can purchase these from Bondi Junction Interchange vending machine, or at most convenience stores.

It takes about 15 mins to get to Bondi Beach from Bondi Junction or you can walk which should take you about 45 mins.


Bondi History Walks will be held on Sundays throughout July as part of the Bondi Winter Magic program. Discover Bondi's bohemian past on these fascinating guided walking tours around the hidden gems of Bondi Beach. Led by Local Historian Sophia Smiley and 'Mr Bondi' himself, long-term resident Lawrie Williams, the walks are guaranteed to intrigue and delight. Meet up at 9:45am for a 10am start. The walks are approximately 2 hours long.

Art on the Streets is where emerging visual artists will exhibit their work 'en pleine air' in Roscoe Street Mall for one day only. For art lovers this is an amazing opportunity to view and purchase affordable artwork.
