For breakfast the combination of Ouzo cured ocean trout and sunrise over Bondi Beach lures in even the most sceptical of patrons. At night is it transformed into a modern italian establishment, the difference being that whilst the menu, presentation and service is fine-dining, the warm and familiar atmosphere that is created by the staff creates a lovely casual atmosphere for dining.
The menu is a beautiful combination of modern twists on traditional Italian dishes as well as a fusion with modern Australian. For breakfast the poached free range eggs with smoked salmon & spinach on a potato rosti with mustard sauce is sensational. For lunch the beef carpaccio, fresh horseradish, eschallot, roast peppers, capers & crostini and for dinner absolutely anything. It is all great.
Their wine list packs a punch and has a great combination of local and overseas varietals, an average cocktail list, but this is made up for by sumptuous deserts.
Oh and I forgot to mention that they use Campos coffee which is lovingly prepared and available from open till close. For breakfast you can get away with $30 per head, dinner for $50 (with wine) but it is worth every cent.
