Bondi Openair Cinema

Home > Sydney > Cinema
Event:
From the 20th of January to the 12th of March, the wonderful Bondi Openair Cinema will be in session at Bondi Beach.

Going to the pictures is always fun, but when you get to watch the action from one of Sydney's most iconic locations, it becomes an experience you'll savour for years to come.

Screenings will be held on most nights, with 30 movies making up the varied program. Highlights include:

The fun starts at 7pm, when bands and DJs take to the stage. Then, at sundown (around 8.30pm), the film begins. Because Openair is an all-weather event, cancellations will occur only when conditions become dangerous. So patrons are advised to bring rain gear, as well as warm clothes to keep out the sea breezes. Food and non-alcoholic drinks can be brought to the venue, or purchased there. Alcohol will be on sale at the licensed bar, which is why under 18s will only be allowed entry if accompanied by an adult. And don't forget to arrive early, as seating is unreserved.

Although tickets can be purchased at the door, if you buy them through Moshtix at least a week in advance, the price drops from $17 to $12.90. They are, however, non-refundable and non-transferable.

Before whipping out the credit card, make sure to read the FAQ and watch this trailer.
