Bondi Golf Club offers a lot more than just an average game of golf. The golf course is the site to the most breathtaking views a golf course could offer. It's situated on the North Bondi cliffs where the edge of Australia meets the Pacific Ocean. Not only do you get the opportunity (if in the right season) to see migrating whales while teeing off, but Bondi Golf Course offers a priceless view of one of the world's greatest beaches, Bondi Beach. If this wasn't enough the third spectacular view on offer is the panoramic view of Sydney's shimmering city (especially spectacular if seen at sun rise or set).
Located just a 5 minute walk from the beach, the buses 380 or 389 can bring you in from the city. The course is ideal for beginners, weekend hackers or tourists as it is a short predominantly par 3 game, that is usually not chaotic with guests and members. An afternoon here, offers a fun, relaxing and picturesque leisurely activity. It is a 9 hole public course, where a round of 9 holes goes for a low price of $20 with an additional 9 holes being just $5 more. A further enticement to the course, are the stone carvings attesting that golfers were not the first people to use the heights as a whale watching vantage point. In the middle of the fifth hole are Aborigine stone carvings showing engravings of these majestic mammals which can be viewed during or after your game.
After a fun game of golf you can have a well deserved refreshing beverage from the club house patio. Just sit back and enjoy the many unrivalled views, while reclining into your chair and watching the sunset.
