Bombs Per Minute (BPM) at Perth International Arts Festival

To help open the Perth International Arts Festival with a literal bang, the French company Les Commandos Percu will present their standout show "Bombs Per Minute" or BPM. Les Commandos Percu has performed in a number of events globally, including in London, Toronto, Singapore and Madrid, but this is the first time BPM will be shown to Australian Audience. BPM is set to be a standout show with thundering sound and explosions of light and colour, loosely defined as percussion with a pyrotechnic background. Picture fireworks and flames matched to the tolling of bells and the pounding rhythm of an array of drums.

BPM is a free event, and so demand is likely to be high. Gates open at 6:30pm with the event starting at 8pm, so you may want to get there early and stake out a prime spot. Feel free to bring along a picnic and use the time before the show to enjoy Langley Park. Naturally it will be loud, so if you have small children, consider whether this will suit them and potentially bring some earplugs as back-up. Parking is available at the East End of Langley Park, or take public transport with numerous buses running along Adelaide Terrace, and with Esplanade Train Station a reasonable walk away.
