There's always lots happening at Australia's national museum of film, TV, video games, digital culture and art. For the very first time, ACMI will be showcasing an extraordinary archive, which traces Indian cinema's journey from silent film to sound.

The free Bombay Talkies exhibition is only possible through the Dietze Family Trust archive. It contains more than 3,000 cultural artefacts gathered from Indian film studio, Bombay Talkies. The movie studio is credited for shaping modern Bollywood and launching the careers of several Indian superstars.

Don't miss this rare exhibition of the legendary Bombay Talkies, which represents the most comprehensive collection of 1920s to 1940s Indian film studio ephemera in the world.
