For art lovers and experts, an important International Art Fair will be held in Bologna, Italy, from 24th to 27th of January 2014. This is in fact a contemporary International exhibition, for which art galleries every year engage a hard completion to have a spot in it.
Bologna is a renowned city worldwide, it hosts the oldest University in the world, founded in 1088 and since many centuries before was an important strategic point for business and commercial affairs within International countries.
Artefiera programme is organized in several collateral events, such as Arte Fiera Conversations - on conversations with art experts, curators, amateurs and journalists - Discovering Ink Exhibition, an exhibition of Chinese ink designs on paper, Euromobil Award for Italians and foreigners artists under 30 and the Rotary Award for the most innovative installation at the fair.
A number of 172 art galleries will be present with over 1500 works of arts form Italian and international artists. New sectors are proposed for the renovated fair: the focus on '800 artistic period, the interest toward Eastern Europe countries and Chinese Art, the Saturday Art City White Night and the opening to the Photography theme.
Within the Art City White Night the whole historic old town centre of Bologna will be involved in the art world: historic palaces, museums, galleries, shops, cinemas will stay open until midnight surrounded by arts festivals, performances and events going on unrelentingly for all the four days of ArteFiera.
