The super fun Bollywood Dance Workshop returns to North Shore Gym in September with a 90 minute high energy class of modern Indian dance. Inspired by the colourful and fun dancing featured in Bollywood Movies, these classes are a fun way to work out and burn off those winter calories.
The talented instructors of Monsuun Dance will teach you some of the basic Indian hand gestures and facial expressions as well as some of the most popular Bollywood dance moves. The warm up is all about learning the basic steps and techniques, followed by a really fun choreographed routine and dance off.. It's a great class to do with a bunch of girlfriends, or even alone, and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. I have done this class and can guarantee you a great workout that is lots of fun - it will leave you on a "high" and wanting more. Can you say that about the treadmill at the gym?
A fun 90 min high energy workout
The class will be held on Saturday 16th Septemberat the North Shore Gym (upstairs). Registration time is 2:00 pm and the workshop runs from 2:15 pm - 3:45 pm. The cost is $20pp and the correct cash amount would be appreciated as they have no atm, credit card or change facilities.
What to wear: Comfortable workout clothes, barefoot or with supportive sports/dance shoes and please feel free to wear your jingly jewellery and scarves if you would like to get into the Bollywood theme!
