The gentle curves of the building allow it to snuggle into the natural landscape.
The recently refurbished Bold Park Aquatic Centre sits within the natural beauty of Bold Park, an A-class Reserve. The flowing curves of the building, accented with timber cladding, allows it to nestle snugly into the native bushland. The pools are heated by a bank of rooftop solar panels and there are plenty of recycling stations available. The green theme continues indoors with a magnificent vertical garden adorning the reception and cafe seating area.

Large letters reflect the surrounding bushland.
The small aquatic centre boasts the following:
50 metre outdoor pool heated to 27 degrees;
20 metre semi-enclosed leisure pool heated to 30 degrees;
showers, toilets and lockers;
shop selling bathers, goggles etc; and

Main pool area.
The outdoor pool has 10 lanes for walkers, swimmers and swimming lessons. The pool has an easy beach entry. Large blue shade sails provide semi-shade over the pool and for the grandstand on those blistering hot summer days. The grandstand wraps around 2 sides of the outdoor pool and just beyond the grandstand, the beauty of Bold Park is visible.
The semi-enclosed pool is great for young children. Like the larger outdoor pool, a beach entry is provided for easy access. Nearby is a basketball court and an adventure playground with climbing walls, cargo nets and logs to walk across. The grassed area is popular for birthday parties for littlies.

Bright, cheerful shade sails.
It is a lovely, small aquatic centre best suited to those aiming to get fit and for families with young children.
For those who prefer something other than utilitarian and concrete dominated aquatic centres, Bold Park Aquatic Centre may be worth a visit.
