I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.
The menu is not large but is supplemented by daily specials and changes regularly to take account the availability of fresh produce. There should be something to satisfy most diners and the kitchen are happy to serve some of the entrees as mains such as scallops and duck breast. The duck which I had as a main was tasty and served with a fresh salad containing nectarines and my cousin really enjoyed the scallops. My duck breast was a little tough but had a great flavour as did the accompanying sauce.
The dining space is up a flight of stairs overlooking the spotless and busy kitchen with well-spaced tables That provided privacy and for groups as well as couples. The alcohol prices are quite reasonable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
A few of our group had the crispy skin barramundi and it was pronounced the dish of the night. Our party of eleven had a very enjoyable evening and a few of us even braved the 400 odd stairs up to where our accommodation was situated rather than take the shuttle bus.
