Brendale has progressively built up its industrial estate reputation, located 25 minutes north of Brisbane City. As for those who work out there, when it comes to your 30 minute weekday lunch break, you'll find an array of pit stop lunch bars or the IGA… exciting stuff hey?

Well fear no more, as my lunch breaks have gotten significantly better (and gourmet) ever since I stumbled across The Boiler Room Café . Located in Brendale's Business Park along South Pine Road, adds an organic flair to an otherwise plain and concrete environment. Whether it's a coffee hit or a sugar craving, they've got it covered.

The food is made fresh per order with a selection of hearty burgers, Campos Coffee, breakfast foods, power juices and smoothies, as well as gourmet and sweet options in the bain-marie - which change daily. The atmosphere of the café is what keeps me coming back, mixing alfresco dining with an organic twist- which mirrors their food style.


Move over chicken and avo sanga, I'll take a freshly pressed lychee juice, beef burger (with gluten free and vegetarian burgers available) with a side salad … oh, and one of those chewy caramel macadamia slices to go!

The staff are friendly, and hey, if you go there often enough, they make sure to learn your name - VIP!

So if you find yourself in Brendale, starving and lost amongst the big-bad-warehouses, stop over at The Boiler Room Café, for a pleasant escape from reality into a suburban gem.
