With barely any time to get over the recent Tour Down Under, another lycra clad event has already hit Adelaide. On 17th March, Boileau VeloAdelaide will see cyclists spinning their wheels in the Mt Lofty Challenge. A car-free event beginning at Hutt Street in the CBD, cyclists will make their way into the Adelaide Hills via the South Eastern Freeway through the Heysen Tunnel and back again.

For those who find Mt Lofty one hill too steep, there is the Free Family Fun Ride through the Parklands and along the river.

The event is in its second year running and last year nearly 2000 riders took part in the Mt Lofty Challenge with another 550 taking part in the Family Free Fun Ride.



Boileau VeloAdelaide - Mt Lofty Challenge

The Mt Lofty Challenge will see 35km Adelaide Hill roads free of cars. Routes range from 50km, 80km or 110km. There is also the option of beginning from Stirling for a 35km or 65km ride back to the event village in the city.

Boileau VeloAdelaide - Free Family Fun Ride

The Free Family Fun Ride is a great opportunity for friends and family of all ages and ability to pedal in a fun safe environment together. Three route options are available - 5km or 10km or 20km. Dictate your own start time for a relaxing ride.



All participants will get a rider bib and a chance to win prizes. Most of all it is a fun day to be a part of South Australia's largest family fun bike ride event.

Whether you participate in the Mt Loft Challenge or the Family Fun Ride, you will finish at the CBD Event village. The village will be a bustling hub of activities with live music with entertainment for kids. There will also be plenty of food and drinks at the end for celebration.

So set yourself a challenge; ride to Mt Lofty and book your exclusive ticket to ride the South Eastern Freeway through the Heysen Tunnel. Otherwise register for the Free Family Fun Ride if you prefer it a little more relaxing.
