While the boho sub-culture has undergone many changes – from bobbed hair and feathers boas to mini skirts and boots, and the floaty dresses and fringed vests of the noughties – one thing remains; the restless and unconventional spirit embodied by the refugees from Bohemia who inspired the movement.
Another boho mainstay is market shopping (retail stores are so bourgeoisie!) The Boho Luxe Markets provide a slice of turn of the century modernity in 2020, and a chance to bring together brands from all over the country.
The Boho Luxe Markets celebrate the creatives, the foodies and the wanderers of the boho tribe. Boho Luxe is a curated line up of fashions, food and homewares from around Australia. The one thing they all have in common; everything is sustainable and ethically sourced fashions.
As well as the general Boho Luxe markets, organisers also host vegan and bridal options. They will run in the following Australian cities:
Boho Luxe Market and Boho Bride: Friday, 17 – Sunday 19 April at The Old Museum, Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills
