Soak up some rays of sun on an outdoor table while sipping sangria. Continue here if the weather permits, or move inside for a cosy and quieter atmosphere.
South Wharf is certainly an underrated place in the CBD, full of restaurant choices with much more affordable prices compared to it's neighbouring competitors along Southbank. The Bohemian Spanish Bar and Restaurant is no exception to one of these hidden gems.
We started our meal with wine and tapas; beautifully presented char-grilled octopus served with potatoes and a divine paprika aioli, sprinkled with pomegranate. Our second selection was char-grilled king prawns which had an appealing subtle smokey flavour, moist, and as good as it looks. Meant for eating with your fingers, served alongside, a bowl of warm water with freshly cut lemon wedge.

Wednesday nights special offer is Spanish roast suckling pig with sweet potato chips and a glass of wine for $25; however I could not resist the temptation of $25 Paella Thursdays with a choice of 4 paellas! Catering for carnivores and vegetarians, select from chorizo/pork/chicken, chicken/prawn/mussels, calamari/prawn/mussels, or green bean/artichoke/parsnip/spinach. Perhaps order them all!

Being a party of only two, we chose the seafood paella special to share for our main meal, which was a satisfyingly filling serve, with a lot of seafood, and paired perfectly with a glass of chardonnay. Great value for money at $25!
While a limited selection for vegetarians, the wait staff informed me that modifications to the menu can be catered to - something I always appreciate!
For dessert, coffee and churrios served with dark chocolate, hit the spot. All this wonderful food and wine, totalled $100; a great priced night out for riverside dining.
