I'm sure most people recognise the name of Eumundi, as being synonymous with the Eumundi Markets , but have you ever visited Eumundi when it's NOT a Market Day? I'm the first in queue when it comes to markets and I do love these specific markets, which by the way are on a Wednesday 8.00am to 1.30pm and Saturday 7.00am to 2.00pm.

What an absolute delight to visit this charming little historic town sans any markets. Parking was available, we could have our choice of restaurants and it was such a joy to be free of crowds.

We could roam the big wide main street and admire the towering heritage-listed fig trees and take our time to find somewhere unique to have lunch — no jostling for us. We were really spoilt for choice with so many options ranging from relaxed cafes to iconic pubs.

One specific venue caught my eye, the Bohemian Bungalow or The Boho for short, with it's funky decor seeming to be beckoning. I've always fancied myself to be a bit of a flower child and love everything Bohemian so I made a bee-line for their entrance.

And their extremely creative decor didn't disappoint. It had beautiful vibrant colours, an unusual compilation of artwork, brightly coloured furniture, and was spacious enough to cater for an army. Indoor and outdoor dining is available, a difficult choice, as one wants to sit indoors and enjoy the vibrancy of this great find or go outdoors to enjoy the sunshine. I believe they even cater for our furry friends in the outdoor section.

Bohemian Bungalow is available for lunch, breakfast and dinners and all special occasions, including weddings. They even have their own smoker on site and many of the meats have been pre-smoked (so if you're into that smoky flavour) then Sunday is the day to enjoy their smoked platter of assorted meats - also a Market-free day.

Our choice for lunch was the Brisket Bun — low and slow smoked brisket, with cos lettuce and pickles served with hand-cut chips, for just $22. The service for lunch was top-notch, our food promptly served and with such striking surrounds, one could really sit back, relax and enjoy the ambience of the very funky Bohemian Bungalow.

If you're looking for something a little unconventional, a little different, a little Bohemian, why not try out The Boho. You won't be disappointed.
