Sleepy Merino Showcases 100% Australian Made Pyjamas
The Body Mind Spirit Festival is scheduled this year for the weekend Friday 28th February through to Sunday 1st March 2020. As usual, the days are jam-packed with free seminars, guest speakers, free meditations, workshops, stage performances, psychic readings and heaps of stallholders selling unique products, including jewellery, cosmetics, music, books, giftware, clothing, crystals, body treatments and more.
Although some individual centres in Queensland have smaller versions, there is nothing quite like the Brisbane event held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre as it is the largest health, wellbeing and natural therapies event in Australia, with all capital cities hosting their own event. Best of all, tickets are free.
One stallholder at this year's event is Sleepy Merino. Sleepy Merino are merino wool producers in the small town of Inverell in New South Wales. Their farm consists of over 2000 hectares of land where the owners follow ethical, sustainable and regenerative farming methods where after stock have grazed in a paddock, the paddock is left for a long period of time to rejuvenate. There are natural creeks and springs for the sheep to utilise and the land is covered with native grasses, shrubs and trees. The sheep on the property produce 17 to 18-micron fine Merino wool, are non-mulsed and require few chemical drenches due to the methods used.
Although the owners of Sleepy Merino loved wearing merino wool in clothing, such as active wear, knits and underwear, there seemed to be nowhere they could source adult merino sleepwear or pyjamas. Hence Sleepy Merino was born. The product is one hundred percent Australian Merino wool jersey from non-mulsed sheep and is perfect to wear in both winter and summer.
We all love to purchase Australian-made items with our purchases helping Aussie farmers stay in business. Sleepy Merino is completely Australian owned and is manufactured by OCC Apparel in Sydney under ISO 14001 low environmental impact processes.
