Drawing for the Terrified workshop
No previous drawing experience is required, but some students may feel more confident if they have completed Julia's beginner's course Drawing for the Terrified. All drawing skills can be developed more easily when we have an understanding of the 'five ways of seeing' that this beginner's course explores.
Nude study - Henri Matisse
Body Matters introduces a variety of approaches to life drawing, from the objective, anatomical aspect through to the most expressive, abstract style of drawing. The course will help you to choose the right media for the type of drawing that you feel is right for you.
Examples are taken from a large number of artists, both traditional and contemporary, plus a selection of different materials will be available for you to try out.
Easels and drawing boards are provided. Tutored classes will continue at the Hahndorf Academy on a fortnightly basis after 30 January, 2014, alternating with untutored classes ($15 per session).
