Offering 'Froffs' on tap, plus wine and cocktails with a delicious Mexican 'Foods' sharing menu with extensive vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, this establishment is sure to be the place for your next party or function.
Open seven days a week from 11.30 am until late the menu features snacks, and small to large plates to complement the beer menu – so you can have a 'degustation' style experience. The Froffs are divided into four 'series' – Pub, Core, Hop and Limited Series.
The Zooter Doozy (Wine-Beer Hybrid Ale 5.2%) from the Limited Series is made from pinot gris juice and skins, with a raspberry sour finish. A nice alternative to a Rose for Summer and paired with juicy empanadas perfect for balmy evenings in the romance of moonlight, a poolside party or a day at the beach.
Big Night Big Night DIPA
For something more substantial I explored the Hop Series and enjoyed the Big Night Big Night (DIPA, 8.9%) which really impressed me. Served in a wine glass, this is like a breakfast or brunch smoothie, and paired with Aticuchos - a Peruvian beef heart skewer marinated in Aji Panca and grilled potato (divine!), and an El Cubano roast pork, ham, swiss cheese and pickle sandwich (similar to a Ruben) really sealed the deal.
This converted warehouse boasts polished concrete floors, with glass brick features, bar tables upcycled from beer barrels, a large cosy lounge area, with exposed beams, plants, skylights and shiny new vats.
It's a large space with vintage bronze finishes and you can imagine the design options are endless for your next work Christmas party, wedding or general catch up with good friends over a 'froff' or two in the cosy corner lounge area.
Bodriggy Brewing Company is diagonally opposite Dr Morse at 245 Johnstone Street Abbotsford, just a hop, skip and jump from Victoria Park Station – so no need for anyone to drive. Make sure your visit early and soon to avoid the queues - Cheers!
