If the thought of fresh cheeses direct from the farmers make your mouth water, you are in for a treat at Bodalla cheeses.
The fun Bodella cheese factory
Bodalla is a gorgeous, sleepy little town halfway between Batemans Bay and Merimbula, along the New South Wales coastal road, just inland a little.
Possibly made famous for by the Bodalla cheeses and lesser-known for the point and lovely little shops here.
Bodella cheeses, free tastings and calf feeding
However if a sweet little rustic village is your taste, you will love Bodalla. Whether for morning or afternoon tea or just a little road stop along the journey, there are some lovely things for you to see here.
They will allow you or the children to hand feed the baby calves twice a day.
A wide range of delicacies to choose from
You can watch the cheese and yoghurt making through the factory windows.
Then pop into the showroom and sample the fabulous cheeses.
The thing I really enjoyed about these cheeses is that most of them are made using bush tucker flavours, including lemon myrtle and native herbs.
Samples to your hearts content
Once you have sampled, you are welcome to make a purchase and most pieces are around $3 per wedge.
Perfect to stock up on while you're on your seaside holiday.
