The playground at Bob Cassimaty Park is one of those rare treasures that could keep children active for hours. The Netplex playground was the first to be installed in Australia after it was launched by Landscape Structures. From the Skyport tower to the slide that brings them back down again, children of all ages will be challenged by this extensive playground.

The playground incorporates a wide range of climbing and balancing equipment including a hanging surfboard for older kids that can simply be used as a gentle swing for little ones. There is also a larger area with swings for various ages, as well as an all abilities swing.

If you're anything like me, you occasionally look at an awesome playground and wonder why kids get to have all the fun. The extensive outdoor gym and ninja track at Bob Cassimaty Park cured me of this envy!
An outdoor gym, or an adult's playground? You decide!
These parklands sit along the Mangroves to Mountains Corridor which connects the bushland of the D'Aguilar Range to the mangroves at Boondall Wetlands on Moreton Bay. The pathway runs from the outdoor gym, past the playground, to the multi-use ball games area and skate park, and beyond. This pathway is paved and perfect for kids to ride their bikes or scooters along as their parents enjoy a walk outdoors.

Two picnic shelters have been placed strategically between the playground and the skate park. These each have an electric BBQ, and there is a water fountain as well.

On the other side of the playground, and next to the outdoor gym, is a public amenities block that includes disabled and baby change facilities. Finally, the carpark at Bob Cassimaty Park was well thought out. Running off busy Samford Rd, this carpark is set on a one-way system and includes a dedicated disabled parking space.
