The Boathouse Palm Beach

On a Sunny weekend, whilst my sisters were visiting us from abroad, we brought them for a day trip to Palm Beach as it was only just over an hour drive from Sydney.
We wanted to bring them somewhere with great views and food so that they can enjoy the beautiful weather and atmosphere that Australia has to offer. Thanks to my husband's efficient search on the internet, we came upon The Boathouse which had great reviews.
There was plenty of car parking available, but costs about $3 an hour.
The entrance of The Boathouse was cute with fresh vibrant colourful fruits on display
There where also flowers for sale, which I thought was rather cool
As you enter into The Boathouse, it is decorated with rustic furnishings and interiors with beautiful flowers and plants displayed around. The menu had a good range of yummy quality food, but the price is definitely on the steep end.
We waited in line for about 10 minutes before it was our turn. The guy at the counter was very friendly and had a great smile. The 10 minutes wait was nothing compared to the almost 30 minutes wait on the food. The drinks came out first but I could have finished 3 cups of coffee by the time the food came out - this is definitely not the place for a quick 10 minute bite.
Please check out the menu, they have a breakfast and lunch menu. We arrived about 11:30am, so we ordered mainly from the breakfast menu of Fruit Toast, Poached Eggs on Toast and Mushroom Toast. My hubby being a fish and chips addict, ordered from the lunch menu.
When we finished our food, we were still waiting for the fish and chips. However, despite the long wait of about 40 minutes after our drinks, and the rather high price of the fish, it was presented nicely and tasted great too!
It is very hard to complain about how busy and long we had to wait when we had great views, food and drinks and friendly service too.
After the satisfying and filling brunch we headed off to Whale Beach, which is 6 minutes drive from The Boathouse and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon soaking in the sun.
When I asked my sisters at the end of their stay in Sydney what was the best part, they said The Boathouse.
I enjoyed myself so much, I've planned another trip next week with a few girlfriends who also enjoy good food, wine and views.
