If you are looking for a boat to hire for a private or corporate event, there are several places in New York City that have these. Boat sizes range from small ones that only hold about six people, to larger ones that can hold up to 150. Boats types range from small "party" boats to full-size, full-service yachts. Some of the companies that have boats for hire are listed below, with a brief description of particular boats they currently have available. You can contact them for more information or any questions you may have.

Amberjack V

This is the boat's name; it's located at Pier 10 in Sheepshead Bay. This boat is intended for use as a venue for a private party such as a wedding, bar or bat mitzvah, or other celebration or for a corporate party. Cooking facilities are available, so you can bring your own catering staff or take advantage of the selections prepared by the Amberjack V kitchen staff.

The boat is designed to hold a crowd as small as 50 or as large as 150. Knowing this in advance helps you plan your guest list so that you can include everyone you want to. The boat is available seven days a week, for morning, afternoon, or evening events. This makes planning your event even easier, as you can make it convenient for everyone.

Atlantic Yachting

This is a company that rents sailboats, designed to hold 6 people. If you can handle a boat, or knows someone who can, this can be a fun family outing or one for you and five more of your friends. The boats are located at 79th Street Boat Basin. You can look at the sailboats available and pick out one that you and your friends will enjoy spending a few hours on.

Prelude

This is a 54' sailing yacht that is hired out from 79th Street Boat Basin for very private events, such as marriage proposals, anniversary celebrations, or a special occasion when you want only you, your significant other, and the captain and the chef of the Prelude present. Yes, that's right. Hiring the Prelude also means you get your own private captain and your own private chef, who don't care how loud you play the music or intrude on your privacy in any way other than to cater to your every need. What better way to recognize a very special occasion?

Urban Desire

The Urban Desire is a small sailboat, designed to hold only 6 people. It, too is located at the 79th Street Boat Basin and is available for hire. Find a few friends or gather your family and enjoy a day on the water. You'll have a clean, safe boat for your use. The boats and companies are just a sample of those available for hire in New York City. Can you imagine a better way to enjoy the sights in and around the New York City harbors and waterways?
